Graduation

After 12 years of schooling, 5 years at highschool and 3 years doing the IB, I can finally say that graduating has hit me.  Even though I am glad to never sit through another maths class ever again, I do admit that I miss being around my class mates 5 days a week. I look forward to all the memories uni holds for me, hopefully just as amazing as the ones created over these past 12 years. Anyway, these are some of the photos from graduation night!

Ignite 2012!!

For the past two days, I have had the most amazing opportunity to attend a catholic youth conference called Ignite. Ignite is the type of conference where hundreds of youth, across Australia, gather to praise and worship Jesus through prayer and song and which honestly changes the lives of so many. The biggest reason for my attendance at this conference was to rekindle not only my faith but also my relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. For me, the Holy Spirit is such a big part of my faith because it helps me recognise just how powerful God's love is for us and how real everything is within my faith. I'm sure that almost everyone who attended had just as an amazing time and felt the amazing presence from the one above! Here are some photos from the two days <3

Year 12 Retreat!

Last week me and my fellow grade 12 students went on retreat to Emu Gully. It was one of the most brutal things I have ever experienced but I learnt so much from everything I did during the three days. From walking in a ton of mud, being pulled, prodded and pushed around, and climbing up steep mountains, I had the most memorable time of my life. I am so glad for all the friendships I made and the friendships which grew during this time. I am also so grateful to have spent this time with the most wonderful bunch of people ever <3. Good luck to you all for our upcoming exams, I know we are going to need it!

Natasha's Semi, part 2

Last night, my sister had her second semi formal for the year as she moved from QA to Mt A. I must say that second time round, I was more comfortable doing her hair and make up and I personally think she looked amazing. I hope she had a wonderful night with her new friends and her date! Then tonight she had her post where she once again she looks as amazing as ever. Love you hermana <3

This is the Indian photoshoot I did of Vaishali. She looks amazing considering we only had three hours of sleep the night before due to formal/post. I hope you like!

Formal

Last night I had my year 12 formal at Stamford Plaza Hotel in the city which turned out to be one of the most amazing and memorable nights of my life. After all the hours of preparation spent on making the night perfect, it made me realise how much time and effort is needed in order for everything to run smoothly on the day. Even though I had some initial draw backs, like being 50 minutes late for my hair because my make up took so long, everything came together at the end which made the night so perfect.  I honestly cannot believe that its all over after all the anticipation but now we can all just focus on school and finishing the IB forever. Next thing to look forward to is schoolies, yay! ;)

Procrastination in the form of Photography!

Today I spent the day at South Brisbane/Southbank with Vaishali, originially going to study at SLQ but as usual, we got distracted and ended up strolling through Southbank instead of studying for the hardest chemistry exam yet. But atleast we got a break from ALL the study *cough, an hour for the whole weekend, cough* haha, even though it wasn't very deserved. We ate lunch, or should I say dessert, at Max Brenner and then we spent the rest of the afternoon taking photos and practiced our "broken lamp" poses [inside joke ;)] around SLQ. I was looking forward to using my new lens, the Canon EF 50mm F/1.8II, and I am so glad that I got the opportunity to do so today. It is an amazing lens and I definitely look forward to using it again soon especially at formal. I also look forward to shooting with Vaishali again seeing as this whole modelling thing comes pretty naturally to her and I obviously enjoy spending more time with her seeing as she's my bestie and all! hahaha. Anyway, these are some of the photos from today, I hope you like.

Kate & Nick

Last weekend, I got to spend some time with one of my closest friends, Kate and her boyfriend Nick after such a long time. I had an amazing time running around Shorncilffe, trying to find the perfect location to take photos of them so that I could practice taking good portraits and couple shots. This is the first couple shoot I have done and I must say it was very entertaining, Nick did the great job trying to look interested the whole time but hopefully he didn't mind all the fuss. Kate looks as stunning as usual! so I look forward to shooting her again! and Nick ofcourse! haha :)
